But the key takeaway is that at least it's (inflation) at a manageable level.

Just got my car insurance renewal bill (State Farm) in the mail today. Up about 25% from the last bill, 6 months ago. I've had zero tickets, zero accidents and have a perfect credit rating. Guess they need the funds to pay for $40,000 replacement battery packs for these electric pieces of shit that get in minor fender benders. It's just the beginning..

Also, here in mini CA (Washington state), sales tax in my county is just over 10% and regular gasoline is $5.19 a gallon at the Shell station up the street (thanks to Governor fuckhead Inslee's carbon tax to save the planet). Grocery prices have gone up 50 to 100% on many items over the last year.

Seattle city has turned into a complete shithole with junkies and criminals running amok, with cops defunded and demoralized. Yet the median price for an ordinary single family house is around $700K in guarded "nice" neighborhoods.

Yes, manageable inflation levels for sure, if you're pulling down a fat 6 figure (or more) salary at MSFT or AMZN, etc. Regular middle class and poor are just basically stuck and fucked.

I'm doing OK, but plenty of others aren't, and you're going to see some pretty major political shakeups next year, IMO..
