New application for zip drives?

My nephew is a partner in a business that sells copiers, fax machines, etc. He also owns Iomega stock. He called me the other day and told me he was shown a video of a prototype Panasonic copier for businesses that will have a 2 Gb hard drive and an optional zip drive.

The guy said that it would also be exhibited at the BTA show in Florida, whatever that is, and the estimated ship date is April 1998.

This is a complete surprise to me. Am I the only one?

Allen....OT....Can you tell me the procedure to follow in order to enter the "Safe Mode"? Once in the Safe Mode, can you delete all duplicate and conflicting files (those files with the ! mark shown in the folder) without causing other problems?

Thanks for the help,

Stock Bull

<did you ever boot into Safe Mode and remove all references to hard disk controllers from Control Panel - System - Device Manager?

Allen, Thanks for the suggestion, but I had done that many times along the way. In safe mode, and in danger mode you can pull out the top line (which in my case reads "Intel 82371AB PCI Bus Master IDE Controllers"). He always reinstalled at the next danger-mode reboot, and the problem always recurred.

Anyway, now that I have the HD's as slaves, there are no problems.
