Gerald,

So far as I understand it, when you take delivery of your stock certificate, it no longer makes up the underlying collateral of your margin position as it is no longer in your brokerage account.

But then again, you have functionally taken your share out of the float and have prevented short sellers from "borrowing" it for their sinister activities <Big Wink> (I have nothing against legal short-selling.)
