Intel adds another addition to the hype machine:

wired.com

They claim their new AGP optimized graphics chip will add new features to mainstream PCs. What they fail to mention is that high end graphics chips mfgs. have taken advantage of plummeting prices in specialty multi-ported SGRAM to put 2-8 MB of ultra fast access memory on-board. Recent reviews of AGP and non-AGP versions of the same graphics cards show little difference in performance - and in some cases degradation.

Intel may have been able to pull off a best of breed AGP implementation, but the results in performance remains to be seen. Anyone see any reviews yet?

IDTI plans to introduce their graphics entry in March.
