Frank one more point about the previous post:

I think the VCD market that CUBE has in China took off so readily because the Chinese quickly realized that they could easily create digital versions of movies etc and sell them for $4 or less to willing customers.

That's why CUBE has been doing so well.

Have cheap software - will buy VCD.

So the question is whether LSI can duplicate the same success that CUBE had.

People duplicate everything from cassettes to software to VHS movies to anything else. Hollywood and American industry knows this but not much they can do.

So as long as LSI can convince the Chinese that DVD is a viable alternative (and hopefully has some real advantages over VCD) then perhaps LSI will have the same explosive growth that CUBE had in that market over the past 2-3 years.
