If we have seen the low end of the Gold price, then it would be prudent to cash in your hedge now and put the profits to good use for the shareholders of the company. In the case of Barrick this would be approximately $800 mil. That would buy a few juniors in this depressed gold market. Only time will tell if Peter Munk has played his cards right in this game.
