Half a Trillion Dollars for Ukraine.

while:

Making up that total is $1.6 million in rent assistance paid so far, costs of housing survivors in hotels, and a one-time payment of $700 per household for essentials like food and clothing. Wind-driven fires destroyed much of the town of Lahaina in Maui, consuming or damaging thousands of structures.2 days ago

re <<will 'they' rug-pull Ukraine or will 'they' men-up and get boots dirty ?>>

NATO's new plan is to provide Ukraine with a fleet of F-16 fighter jets.

I understand that this will require the lengthening of runways to handle longer take-offs and landings. I wonder if the planners will also consider building hardened infrastructure like aircraft shelters, maintenance facilities, fuel bunkers, crew quarters, etc? (Right now Ukraine is shuttling it's handful of MiG jets between airfields to keep them safe, but that seems impractical for a larger air force.)

And I wonder what weapons will be supplied for these planes? That debate could prove interesting! ;)
