From what I gather, the electric power companies failed to keep the tree branches away from power lines, this is their responsibility and they failed to do it...

As the branches grew closer to those power lines, they caused fires which grew wild and spread very rapidly...

Making the water supply unavailable certainly didn't help...

Also, in all fairness to the power company in Hawaii, they had to spend their time and money on some ridiculous green environmental crap, so they didn't have the funds available to trim the tree branches, so it's not all their fault...

The State is more responsible since the State required the power companies to waste their time and money on political crap first before anything else...

It's a complete mess over there!!!
