enigma; What Buffet does is not stay in any rut. He might easily have decided that sailver was good for another $200 million profits by just the strategy is suggest, and that is on his metal holdings. derivatives could magnify that. Once in a whiel he can make a quick killing. many smaller mines have closed, and will never come back until gold stay up for a while, so their production is gone for now. The supposed short position from forward sales might just collapse causing a rapid rise as soon as the Asians recover. The Koreans look like they are coming back soon??. Once the Thais, and the Indos do it gold will shoot up. I say end of March will see it alive and kicking , due to all of the above factors. Bill
