"What else does an "emergency" entail, if not drastic measures like locking down the planet?" A WW2 effort to replace FF's. It could mean an immediate end to new oil and gas leases. It should prolly mean a national ban on manufacturing ICEs after '35, but Congress won't go there. What would declaring a national climate emergency do? \| The Hill'' -- "You know many of them advocate the exact same thing with regard to saving the planet." Strangely enuf, I didn't hear anybody say, "Lock down the planet again." It's just you.
