Finally - I've found someone who's actually used the 120 drive!!

>>I am not aware of another drive that is backward compatible to the floppy (I recall reading about one once but have not seen a reference to it again). ....... We are in need of a simple mechanism to transfer files from one computer to another. At this point in time I do not see any alternative to the LS-120.<<

FWIW - The following is from the Syquest thread:
>>I sense with the imminent rollout of HiDensity floppy from Sony could spell the end of Iomega's cash cow zips. Love those zips but for almost the same price at 200 mb , plus able to read 3.5 floppies and faster speeds. (Apparently beta versions allow you to play a mpeg) these are definitely going to make the Zip drive look like a buick.<<

I went to your profile and noticed you'd started the "Dream Machines (Build Your Own) thread. I haven't gone through all the messages yet but have already bookmarked it and intend to check it out. Way to go!

There probably is a need for starting an LS-120 thread. Thanks for your suggestions. If you want to go ahead and start the thread I wouldn't get my feelings hurt.

Regards - Emory
