Yes. Nice set-up for a mutli-month rally towards a new ATH.

Labour Day Weekend

Changing the trend of the last 5 weeks, in the last week the commercials have increased their net short positions in both gold and silver. See here and here and here.

The SPX and DOW have had a bounce. The MACD on gold looks okay but the other commodities were weak on Thursday and Friday. WTIC made new highs for this move. Natgas is basing and the US$ corrected Monday through Wednesday and moved upwards Thursday and Friday.

Ed Steer's comments:

On silver:

" ... the set-up for that monster rally in silver is still on the table. "

On gold:

"We're still some distance away from being bearish in gold ..."

In general:

"All we can do now is just sit back and see how things unfold in the days and weeks ahead."

Check out the graphs this week as they show the build up in net short positions more clearly. They are labelled "Position: Short" under the tradingster links here and here.
