Mike, My read is that Intel is getting heat (from more than MU !!)
about RAMBUS licensing costs impacting the low-cost computer, so
they need to develop an alternative compatible with the sub-$1K PC.
The box makers are the force behind this. They want an end play
around RAMBUS.

In simple terms, even Intel must listen to its customers.
Now if we could just do something about MSFT <ggg- NOT!>.
