My guess is many Blacks and Hispanics come from poorer families so going to college is much harder for them if they are not athletes

Property Tax funding of schools.

In Brentwood the High School college preparatory school next to UCLA had way better computers than my UCLA design department. We had new Macs and Windows computers.

I interviewed for a job in a South Central High School. IMO it was a prison preparatory school, chain link fences, barbed wire... bureaucrats were going to give the kids a second hand server and second hand obsolete windows junk computers.

Ya think the kids there knew they were getting a second class education?

A lot of those kids have parents working 2 or 3 jobs too, they can't afford a new laptop for their kid.

It ain't fair... never was.
