Some material I recieved from dad was "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see". The only time I rode a horse was when I stayed at Cheryl's farm. Also, dad did say something about his trip to Finland, a beer was something like $17.

Ivan Susanin

A legendary Russian peasant guide who, in the early 17th century, misled a detachment of Polish troops marching on Moscow.
He led them deep into a swamp, where they all perished.

Once the Poles realized the deception, they killed Susanin, but he’d already saved Tsar Mikhail Romanov.
