Sig, Hi!!! Trust the gourd before you trust any analyst on this stock. Have you read the Value Line?? Seen their "predictions"....kills me to think they pay some of these guys....Any serious investor in Dell should read this thread....maybe we should charge for our predictions...crazy they may be at times....but, no one yet has not seen our grandest expectations shattered.... Personally, I like your gourd....it's more accurate. Best, Kemble

Hi Sig, You are right--back in 1996 not too many analysts were "up to speed" with Dell's earnings. When I talked to that broker back in 1996, he admitted those estimates were pretty conservative and it was a safe bet to expect more. These days things are different. I've talked to the guy no long ago (he is with Dean Witter Morgan Stanley) and he said they are still very bullish on the stock. Of course, they are cautious a bit due to the multiples. Hope it's passed .80 tomorrow. James
