Many different opinions as to where the BRICS+ is going in the short and medium term. Long term isn’t even worth contemplating. Here is a imo well thought out balanced article of the status quo, the possibilities and the stumbling blocks. It actually reflects part of your posted opinions.

As for your Ukraine comment, it doesn’t make sense in the context of BRICS. If anything, it’s actually a Putin induced curveball for near term BRICS development. Putin’s expansionist ambitions do nothing for BRIC countries except create problems on the political and economical front as BRICS need the West to fuel their economic growth.
