Average age for graduating high school in Sweden is 18, Greta at 20 is obviously a slow-learner. She can now learn a trade or get a job cleaning motel rooms and be more than a school-striker.

In the construction industry, it's a widely held opinion that Architects should have 2 years of experience framing or roughing in buildings before they get their degrees. A large portion of my clients held college degrees themselves.

I went to college with a lot of nice kids, who knew very little about the "real" world. One nice kid made a disparaging remark one day comparing plumbers to lower intelligence people. He obviously got his information from his family who associate with NO blue collar people.

I asked him: "Who's extended life more plumbers or doctors?"

He thought about it for a few minutes, but really had no idea.

Most of white collar America doesn't know the answer to this question. ALL doctors KNOW that its plumbers BY FAR.

I think America would benefit a lot if colleges required most students to have 2 years of experience out in the real world before they went to school.

Greta's a nice kid, and she's right. But it'd probably open her eyes working with a plumber for a few weeks, and seeing what a plumber goes through working in an area where there's no parking for trucks. It'd give her some empathy and make her even more influential.

Empathy is a quality American's sorely lack. I'd say most white collar Americans are lacking empathy. Certainly its a quality unknown in MAGA culture.
