Invariably yes, although occasionally the reservoir pumps do pack up. That's in my area although in some places the water can be off for days.

Even down here which is not nearly as cold as where you are.

But summer is another story. When I see the recent temperatures of 40C plus in the Northern Hemisphere, I am petrified about what will happen down here - when we can't even use an electric fan.

I don't even want to think about the food in the refrigerators.
