No disagreement. Just trying to make certain we are all on the same page.

For, if you were to say you were putting on a strangle and your definition of a strangle varys from the accepted definition, then?

Here's a basic definition guide. Most of the stuff off the top of my head.

STRADDLE-done with puts and calls with the same strike price and when the underlying instrument is near the strike

STRANGLE-done with puts and calls that are OTM and when the underlying instrument (UI) is midway between strikes.

Then there are Bull Spreads with calls, with puts.
Bear Spreads with calls, with puts.
Time Spreads with calls, with puts.
Synthetics

And just straight Longs, Shorts.

Is there anyone who disputes this or has something else?

I only point this out, because for weeks I was wondering what the "shot" was.

These are the definitions. It would probably be nice if we all used the same ones, that's all I am saying.
