Don: re:<<Poetic justice?.. to see Brinker issue a sell

No, it would be sad to see. I hope Brinker remembers that probably more than 99% of his Marketimer subscriber list came from "radio freeloaders who learned about the newsletter's existence listening to Moneytalk. Moreover, those "radio freeloaders" probably contribute significantly to Moneytalk's high national listenership which in turn has propelled The Starship at warp speed for over 12 years gathering over 200 powerful transmitters throughout the nation, including the latest addition to South Florida. Having lived 13 years in that area of the country in a past life, I have to believe people from that area are likely to be in desperate need of the sound financial advice and integrity which comes from The Starship - what an opportunity !

Re: see the market collapse with all

I appreciate your honesty, but don't you think you are a little jaded? I suspect that most marketimer subscribers started as listeners (freeloaders??) Also, many people read these posts on SI, but don't bother to pay the money that enables them to post or navigate as the rest of us can. Nonetheless, I would never wish misfortune upon them. I believe sharing the collective wisdom from the varied posters here benefits all.

I don't think $185/yr entitles me to be smug...just content.

Searching for some humility...Bill S

Wouldn't it be neat to see Brinker issue a sell
signal while on vacation from radio, have his subscribers sellout
at or near the top, and then see the market collapse with all
the radio freeloaders left to fend for themselves when he returns
only to tell them the horse is out of the barn and they are on
their own! Would not surprise me in the least. Poetic justice!

Well Bob, it took you 5 years, but you seem to have accomplished what you wanted on March 10, 2002 when you issued your buy bulletin on the test of the Oct. 9, 2002 bottom.

Dave Korn's subscribers were alerted via email to look for a bulletin the day you posted it (well worth the price of his service), but your "radio freeloaders" sure were left fending for themselves.

From the data I have, it seems a good number of your subscribers with internet access gave up checking your web site daily when they tired of waiting for QQQ guidance as promised here: suite101.com

Are you now happy? Any regrets?

PS why did you change your screen name from Don Lane to mister topes long after the last post you made as Don Lane?

Way to go there old bob. You did it! You must have done it.

Those radio freeloaders and many of your snail mail subscribers must have missed the March 10 call. Otherwise why would you have included directions on what to do for those that missed it in the April edition?

You know that part about subscribers that missed it use discipline and buy at times of price weakness. DCAing in periods of market weakness is a good idea but we haven't seen much weakness since March 10. So what do they do now? Wait for another geopolitical event?
