Kaja,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

A couple of questions for you:

1. Do you know what estimates are for this company next year? I seem to remember 1.20 for '99? Do you think these estimates will hold?

2. Are there any estimates by respected news sources of when the DVD market is really going to come through? I've heard that it could be 5 years or more.

3. Doesn't this company do a little bit more than just make a DVD chip? Could the deal they currently have with Walmart be carried over to other large companies? This seems like it could be a really big market in itself. With the right marketing...

4. What does this chip actually do that is being contracted with suppliers like Sony, Phillips, and computer OEMs. Is it the same chip in all of these products?

Thanks in advance,

Grant

Kaia,

Also, I believe the company did a private placement last year...a convertible (convertible at a discount to market) which is in all likelihood placing pressure on the stock as the private placement investors are converting/selling.

I looked at the most recent 10-k and I found this private placement. You are correct about it being at a discount to market. I have a feeling that the worst might be over however. There are only a 2000 some odd preferred shares left from what I could tell from the earnings report. The weighted average shares this quarter was up a little but not too substantially. Hopefully, the converting and selling is over and the company can get down to some real growth.
