John,

Any investor who is interested in buying QCOM at low 40's. Please be aware and doing your own research by checking historical charts and all press releases.

There are a lot of us (QCOM longs for a long time try to double the holdings) will join you. This stock had been in this price range $33-$54 even before its CDMA technology was proven. Before it started to make any commercial handsets. Before Sprint PCS and Primeco build-out. Before any Korean CDMA networks went on line. Before any Globalstar satellites even got notice from anywhere. Not to mention other money making business such as Eudora and Omnitrac business.

If an investor is a profit driven investor concerning South Korean short term problem. Let us see the potential here without concerning any other business but Globalstar side business only. here is my takes. If ever Globalstar become successful, the chance has been increased by so much because the launch of 4 satellites on 2/14/98. The Globalstar's business model called for a net profit of $1.8 billion on year 2001-2002 alone (Valueman can correct me?).

Here is the percentage from QCOM's most recent SEC quarterly report. About 6.5 % of Globalstar total net profit in the future. That means a $117 million net profit alone for that year. That is $1.58 a share alone. Is it not compelling at all to you? Go check out GSTRF. GSTRF is a 20% owner of the Globalstar project. This stock is current valued at about $7 billion. It is amazing that Candle Stick has the guts to short QCOM. Do you research again Candle Stick.

That above 6.5 % portion excluded the QCOM's exclusive rights to manufacture phones, gateways, fixed wireless phone booths, QCOM's royalty from licensing its right for others to manufacture phones (ERICY's subsidiary and one Italian phone co.), and Omnitrac's free rights to use of Globalstar's satellite (QCOM currently pay some company to track Omnitrac products)., management fee from Globalstar's profit, etc.

Is this company you have to wait to get in? Give it a thought and do your research. Do not count on what I post here.

Good luck to all

Brian H.
