From Baga01 on the Yahoo MSG Board....

I had to dig DEEP to find this, this should article should go a long way to help our technology discussions. Many good facts:

datamation.com

The architecture: The ECenter is based on three IBM CMOS mainframes running MVS/CICS with DB/2 connected to 12 HP UNIX boxes and 50 low-end Sun Microsystems' UNIX machines via a TCP/IP network running on SONET. Enterprise storage is based on EMC's Intelligent Storage
Architecture. 500 HP Pentium PCs link into the datacenter.

The article doesn't metion Parallel Sysplex, but if IBM's involved you can bet that is what is holding everything together.

I found it interesting that Checkfree is have article's written, not about what they do, but how they do it. Looks like Pete isn't only a CEO with Vision, but he also knows how to surround himself with the right talent(sorry for the Cheerleading).

ps. Lindt, feel free to post on SI, I don't think it has been posted yet.
