i posted the article because of the dual modem technology (shotgun) that requires asnd
equipment.

I understand the reason for the information. It is relevant and helpful.

I was just expressing an opinion on the value of the product and we both agree.

There is a further complication. If the shotgun approach was widespread, we would be quadrupling the amount of phone lines needed for the net for the residential users. I doubt the ROBOCs have that capacity.
