I have a model portfolio that I track of Taipan recommendations based on the actual price I could get in at and the current price at which I could sell. The portfolio is down about 30% while the market, in general, has been up nicely (I don't care what their newsletter says about their performance). I temper everything I read in Taipan with this market performance history. Having said that, I am very long on the stock, but often wish I wasn't. It seems that they have to conduct frequent road-shows to prop up the stock which seems like a bad short term indication.
