There was a new designer in the standards group from Peru with who I was having a conversation and I said to him "don't refuse work work from the shop", at the time I was thinking of construction practices and shop tolerances. As part of my work for product evaluation I used shop supplied sketches for an instrumentation tubing pilot project, when asked to release the finished drawings for production I declined and referred approval back to the sketch originator. Later another shop in Wyoming provided sketches for revisions and when asked to release the finished drawings for production I declined saying "I was not in a position to see what was sold". I do not know where each of the sketch providers sought approval.
