Roger, as a proprietary service, AOL is in the position to add value in many ways they have yet ignored. They could, for instance, offer long distance voice communication and instantly become a standard, even allowing a non-AOLer to connect to an AOLer. Or video. Or they could have connectivity to faxes and pagers. Or workgroup services with Lotus Notes-like capability and colloboration gizmos. IMHO not an obvious short even if overpriced as hell.
