So yes, I saved a ton money covering my shorts at the open. And I think that was the right move b/c there is a fair chance that the inflation numbers are better than expected and then a huge short squeeze will ensue. On the other hand, the structure of the market is such that if the numbers are bad, even mildly so, all of today's gains will disappear. That would almost piss me off, but no, I can live with my decision. It was the right thing to do even if I miss on some profits.
