It seems silly to be spending such vast effort on drones and bombs and viruses, rockets, space force and death-dealing in all ways imaginable at $trillions per year. There are incoming asteroids, reglaciation, Taupo eruption, humanized H5N1, DNA misprints by the billion producing cystic fibrosis, haemochromotosis, stomach, cancer, some more here: healthdirect.gov.au electricity supplies, coronal mass ejection, and millions of things that need doing. Up until the 20th century and through it, and even up until now in some places, there was the Malthusian problem of too many people that required the elimination of 90% of them. Disease, famine and whatnot got rid of swarms of them, but fighting and genocide over land and resources was necessary too as that was the nature of red in tooth and claw natural breeding processes which always expand populations until they come up against a restraining process. Increasingly, the meek have inherited the Earth so the elimination by war is much less but it's still a big deal and with umpteen megatons ready to launch, it could still turn out to be the main way of cutting human numbs. Humans in recent centuries invented voting as a way of sorting out who is in charge, but crazed corrupt Yanks and their sidekicks UK, Fourth Reich, France and Eurostan don't like voting in Ukraine or Crimea. They want to murder their way to being in charge. That's because voting would stop the corrupt cash flow from taxpayers, to Congress to Lockheed Martin, to politicians and their collegial criminals. It would stop the fun of murdering people and playing soldier and stop the vicarious thrill of another bunch of Russians being blown up. It's easy to see how the Roman Empire thought it a great idea to put slave effort into building the Colosseum in Rome, and the one in Nimes then holding chop 'em up gladiator sports, and throw them to the lions fun. I guess about 60% of people still love the murdering or they'd have stopped voting in favour of it. Now we have the big match - Islamic Jihad Rule the World versus The Rest of Humanity. I'm backing the rest of the world. The Moslems are going to have to give up some of their ideology. The edicts in the Koran are going to have to be extirpated, hopefully by ideological adaptation by children who will not be taught the old ideology. The old ones probably won't change much but after WWII, Germany pretty much gave up the Nazi ideology. Recommendation to Moslems = dump your stone age Koranic conquest ideology and aspects that are unfit for purpose nowadays, and issue some shuras and fatwahs to bring it up to date. Mqurice
