Regarding De Jagar's Y2K website: I received this email from Antoinette De Jagar back in August of 97 ....1997 that is when our good friends from IVXR showed up there:
=================================================================

Tom

Our site is similar to a magazine. We provide people with information via articles and links which are checked before being added to our file to make sure they provide worthwhile information for people accessing our site. We also provide a spot for people to advertise their products/services which pertain to correcting the date problem. Peter has talked with many of the vendors regarding their tools/products etc. prior to their joining our site but not to all of them. His schedule does not permit it unfortunately. We
do not have the facility to test and verify that all these products do
indeed work. Here again in the same manner as a magazine. Times cannot verify every product they advertise. But, if you notice on our site we have the following paragraph appear on the vendor page:

These links are provided as a service to the computer industry and other interested parties. Neither de Jager & Company Limited or the Tenagra Corporation endorses the listed entities, nor are they responsible for the content accessible through these links. Under no circumstances will de Jager & Company Limited or the Tenagra Corporation be held liable to any third party who may choose to rely on a listed entity, their products, or services.

This is our way of letting people know that they will have to do their own investigating regarding the vendors on the page. Whether they do this by contacting the vendor or by discussing it on our mail list with the other subscribers and finding out who has used this vendor, how good is their product, etc.

I hope you understand what we are trying to achieve through our page. We are trying to increase the awareness level and provide people with stepping stones that will hopefully lead them to the road of y2k compliant.

I hope this has answered your question. If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.
