Unlimited power as long as they remained in Hitler's good graces. Those people outside of the inner circle, bureaucrats, news people, political commentators wanting to get in. And of course there were those who who knew and objected, but could not stop the incremental grabbing of power. And those who realized what happened too late. It was too late by they time some of them took action. ===== No doubt these three groups were/are part of Trump's entourage. Many have already realized their mistakes. The difference is, America is a much bigger prize, a nuclear power, and there's no country that can stop it once they have taken over. Human's don't change. These are the same people hoping to get in on the biggest dictatorship in history. In the US about 30% support Trump, 30% are "non-political" and 30% know enough about history to see the incredible danger of a Trump victory. Among Hitler and Trump's political opponents are honest politicians, and some slightly dishonest and some definitely dishonest, the last category giving the sociopaths ammunition. Human's don't change. The fight to limit power continues, but one thing we know, its a lot easier to keep those sociopaths out of power, than to remove them once they are in. Ask Prigozhin's ghost... it would be better than asking Milley's ghost in 2025.
