"Truth is the recognition of reality"

That certainly explains all the Magafecalist lies.

Truth is an event, an act of unconcealment., not recognition. By saying recognition, you are placing Truth in the prime domain of the consciousness of the subject, whereas Truth comes from the subject, but from over and beyond the individual self.

Once you place truth solely in the domain of the subject, you place yourself in direct opposition to others from the other side of the political spectrum who do the same thing and likewise have some good insights. Trump was a wild spender who contributed to the national debt, just like Biden, Bush II and Obama. The big difference, of course, was that Trump, like SDGLA, are angry, bitter, old men who insult people who disagree with their views. That attitude leads to indictments and ultimately convictions and prison time.

There is some truth in liberalism and conservatism. "Recognition", as Rand says, is present in both points of views. Isn't it interesting that Biden has come around to Trump's point of view of building a wall? Not that I agree with it, but when you compare Trump and Biden, there is really more agreement than disagreement. The differences are mostly cosmetic or in style.

I think the point is to extract truth from both sides and build a consensus. The alternative is to look to alienate the other side and bicker and argue all day. President Clinton was a master of the former.
