I remember when the USS Cole was attacked and bombed and the perpetrators were labeled terrorists... what does that word mean?
"Terrorist" can mean one of the following:

1) Someone who uses violence, especially against civilians, as a means of achieving a political goal.

2) A euphemism for Islamic extremist.
