Bibi is a crook and a wannabe dictator, unfortunately he is the leader of Israel and will get a pass.

The security fumble is actually not Netanyahu's falt. Don't get me wrong, I hate the guy as much as half of Israeli's hate him. And he will be kicked out but not for this.

Nor was the withdrawal from Afghanistan Biden's fault.

Presidents and Prime Ministers don't make tactical decisions. Those are left to military experts, generals and admirals for good reason. Us military people planned withdrawal from Afghanistan not Biden, Israeli military people fumbled the ball on this war.

Anyone remember the book the Peter Principle?

The Peter principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to "a level of respective incompetence": employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.

Seems to me that it's been demonstrated to be true both in corporations, military and bureaucracies in general. I've certainly seen with my own eyes very smart people making very bad decisions in three corporations. At least two are out of business. One was the biggest record retailer in the world. The other was a financial software corporation with a dynamite product crippled by an obvious Achilles Heel. Both were incredibly boneheaded mistakes. Obvious to anyone with common sense.
