The major support remains at 1450, and only a monthly close below that would imply a further decline. We still expect the fourth move-up to be the breakout. But that still appears to be targeting post-January 2024. The major support by January lies at the 1625 level. Despite all the nonsense about the de-dollarization movement, the US dollar is still under pressure to rise. One person commented that some analyst claims that Bitcoin and Crypto will replace the dollar soon. They have no idea that the strength behind the dollar is that New York remains the world's financial capital. All emerging markets still seek funds in dollars from New York. The upward pressure on the dollar, thanks to the war in Europe, has been pushing gold lower, ideally into January.
