Grammy, I'm not sure I'm following your logic in your response to Ed. Granted ,rapid turnover of inventory helps, but it would seem that if prices turn down, they do so because of lower demand and lower demand will effect the bottom line in spite of rapid turnover of inventory. In fact if one was to take a long view and discounted the costs associated with stored inventory, it would be smart to accumulate during low pricing periods and be selling during periods of rising prices. But it could be this doesn't work for this industry due to the storage costs, inventory taxes etc.
