Hamas targeted surveillance sites when they staged the invasion. Hezbollah is doing the same. US/NATO may have positioned spy ships off the shore to assist Israel. During the war against Syria, NATO had surveillance ships communicating the positions of Syrian government forces to Free Syrian Army, Al Qaeda in Syria (Nusra Front now HTS), and other militias. The former US ambassador in Damascus was expelled from Syria as he was going around giving satellite phones and cash to the jihadist rebels.
