***OT - More political stuff***

Just a silly and dopey question: Why does the US kill off Saddam the first time around? Why don't they plan to do that now? This bully's been nothin' but trouble. Perhaps killing him off is the only solution left to deal with this maniac on biologic agents. (Yes, I'm obviously not seeing the bigger picture. Please explain it. My husband couldn't. Or even better, try to encourage the people in Iraq to overthrow Saddam altogether and get a *REAL* leader up there...

Doesn't Russia, France (and China...don't want to leave them out of this) realize that using force to force Saddam to comply with the UN is now probably the faster route to having sanctions lifted (and them getting their money) than their "diplomatic solutions." I don't think the Russians are against using force for any other reasons other than monetary. (The comments made about Russian having resentments of the US being the superpower is really a side issue, IMO.) You would be surprised these days what people would do for money, especially a lot of it.

Replying an earlier post here, US does have enough of the support to back up the claim that use of force is the only other route to go. (From many other countries and from within (the US)....

John: I hope you're right about some other alternatives coming up at the last minute. I REALLY hope you're right. I seriously don't think it's gonna happen though, personally.
