I don't have a terribly biased news feed. I read Reuters, The Hill, and BBC. I don't read political or war stuff on the BBC. The Hill is a centrist feed, and the other two are as well. I don't read Opinions on The Hill.

For example, in Iran every morning the children in school are required to say "Death to America." 99.99% of the kids who do this don't believe or agree with this a single bit, but they do it because they don't want to have themselves or their family members imprisoned or tortured.

However, the news organizations here would have you believe all of Iran hates America. Probably 75% of the people under 35 would prefer to live in the USA rather than Iran. They like America and want to have the freedom America has.

Most of the rest of the world dislikes their government as well as our government. However, as people, we all have similar hopes and aspirations for ourselves and our families.

You and I are not terribly different. We just have different fears. I don't fear most of the things you fear. In fact, I'm having a hard time coming up with anything that I do fear. Maybe a grizzly bear if it were charging at me, but I would still rather just react and work the problem than clutter it up with fear.
