The problem with this is that to 'upgrade' you have to change the motherboard. I would like to be able to upgrade the portion that needs it. Sometimes it is the CPU, sometimes it is the peripheral devices, but seldom do the changes come together. If some of the chips were moved to the 'daughterboard' (SIO/PIO disk controllers) then we could choose an EIDE (w/current SIO/PIO and controllers) card or a SCSI card containing the same functions. (Both cards would allow everything!) How many 'daughterboard' slots could be populated on the 'motherboard' if the 'motherboard' only contained the CPU, support, and memory slots. (How many memory slots could be allowed also?) Thoughts? Ken
