I never said I was or going to be rich shorting this stock. All
I said is that this stock sucks and is highly manipulated. Pure smoke and mirrors and a lot of people are going to get hurt believing all the hype.

Marathon,

Shorts are no more naive than most longs.

We got the point the first time this was posted:

At least try and paraphrase it a bit the second time around. :-)

Best wishes with your long position,

I am not short this stock but someone like you who joins Silicon Investor just 5 days ago and then goes off about shorts (especially in this stock)raises questions on several levels. You at best are long this stock for a minimum amount of shares and yet you act like Steve just made you a millionaire. Get a grip. You have posted more in 5 days than many people post in a month. Why in the world would you post the exact same message twice on a thread? That is very strange. Did you forget you posted the same thing not more than four days ago or did you simply think we had not read your eloquent soliloquy. You need some new material. Get over yourself and stop slamming these poor people. You know AOL's service is about the worst of all the major services, I know it, and I would venture to bet that Steve knows it. Most if not all the shorts on this thread bring up some valid points. Try not to crucify them.

David

PS.Please tell me that you have been on this forum in some form or fashion before now because some of these nice people may begin to get paranoid delusions.

Marathon!

I for one do not wish you pain and misfortune because you are long AOL. What I am trying to point out is that there is a problem when squeezing shorts become the underpinning fundamental for appreciation of a stock like AOL. This is not investing. It is rigging a stock, which is basically gambling IMHO. Wish you luck with your long position.

Marathon, did you happen to notice what happened to TXN after the split announcement and before the split last year? (down 50% after having trading up significantly in expectation of a split.) It doesn't always work the way you expect.
