Re <<there's research indicating high school grade point average is a better indicator of college performance>> ... am guessing it all depends on which high schools, and am also guessing that not all high schools are created equal even if they occupy the same square footage but then again a whole lot of cretins graduate from the allegedly top universities btw, the nut is now doing enough outside of the school studies just to keep things interesting; magazine, dance, tutoring, and film work, and latest, researching on how best to engage w/ a driver's license. So far still straight-A's, and she has changed gears a tiny little bit, to try to pick up a computer science / big data minor to go w/ her humanities (history, literature, whatever) major I suppose she can try to interdisciplinary-approach the humanities via big data / computer science just paid bill for her 4th semester (yeah, it is only November, and fourth semester does not start until late January) and good that there is a 36-months respite between the nut's undergraduate graduation and the Jack's HS graduation Sharp increases in interest rate, gold, commodities, would be very helpful, especially if college cost is somehow constrained Then again, the Jack's current middle school education (inclusive of fencing etc etc) cost is at 1/2 to 2/3 of the nut's college education, so much for respite. I am on free-bleed. The nut might be able to support her graduate studies on own, but am not counting on such.
