Bill, Tench, it was a fact that many NATO countries were not abiding by all the provisions of paragraph 14 of that agreement. Abiding by what, exactly? They had until 2024 to rectify that. You can MAAAYBE argue that Trump helped to accelerate their schedule for compliance, but I don't see any evidence of that. Just a bunch of claims made by Trump himself, which I consider to be 100% suspect. Either way, nothing motivated NATO countries more than PooTin himself. If that was Trump's goal all along, by being buddy-buddy with PooTin just so that NATO can get their act together, then I consider that "Mission Accomplished." Tenchusatsu
