Without exception, NONE of the democrats in office at that time voted in favor of the 1964 Civil Right Act...

At the time, none of the democrats voted in favor of women's right to vote...

At the time, none of the democrats voted in favor of African Americans right to vote...

As bai dung is well known for saying, he didn't want racial integration in public schools because he didn't "want schools to become jungles" although he said that even many years after the 1964 Civil Right Act already became the law of the land...

Mamie was the name of Eisenhower's wife, it was Mary Geneva "Mamie" Eisenhower...

You're thinking of Eleanore, that was FDR's wife's first name...

Look, we have a history filled with a lot of shameful and painful scars that remain and it takes many generations to for them to heal, hopefully we're moving in the right direction...

It may not seem so, but we are growing slowly and it takes more than one generation to notice any meaningful changes at all...

Too often, our political "leaders" do not lead, they only hack the system for personal gain and this only puts additional unnecessary strain and delay on our growth progress...

And then we have a lot of very stupid and uninformed people who believe any lie fed to them by corrupt politicians...

Unfortunately, and I probably said this 1000 times already here and elsewhere, that it takes about 75 years for people to forget what they already learned the hard way once before...

I also probably said several times before but it needs saying again: all of us may have come here on different ships and at different times, but we're all in the same boat now...

Now more than ever, we need to pull together or we'll end up ripping ourselves apart...

The politicians want us to rip ourselves apart, they want us at each other's throats, this is how they maintain power, that's the very meaning of the old saying united we stand, divided we fall...

Sure, we have differences, but we need to stick together as one or we're finished, there's no other way to put it, we need to stick together as one despite of our differences or we're completely finished...
