Wharfie, I don't see anything wrong with Rand's philosophies. She correctly points out the nature of human self-interest.

Many of her critics accuse her of glorifying selfishness, but they twist her words, possibly because she accurately portrays their altruism as a net negative on society.

As for Marx, he was a revolutionary philosopher, theorist, and economist for his time, even though most of his theories fell short of the truth. However, his theories have led to some of the most destructive political movements of the 20th century, and even today, his now debunked philosophies continue to permeate leftist thinking.
