Hey Saintly One! Welcome back!!!

So has the flu bug flown north?

Glad you like the info. (except for what looks like a bum call on semi-equips! can't believe what's going on there. LRCX surprises negatively and stock goes up. Ditto SFAM. AMAT looks strong again. Unbelievable stuff. Moral: Never short or even think about shorting during a bull run? Will wait until the excitement subsides there.

Biding my time with a combination of techs and non-techs. Likely not doing as well as you but still doing all right. Had a great talk with Investor Relations' Ms. Matley . Read those in particular - about 4 or 5 posts. They are aware of this board.)

Now when and how much will LSI move?

Seems to be some hemming and hawing right now. Stubborn resistance at 27. Would really like to see this taken out soon or I'd be getting nervous. Gut says ASIA not over + next earnings season will not be as kind for most multinationals + China + Clinton etc etc will come back to haunt. As mentioned before, small window here that might get slammed in our faces over any or all of the above + others. Still bullish but would want a move fast. Make hay while the sun shines. Prospect of less daylight the closer we get to the end of Feb.

I think, for LSI, Tuesday should be telling. If there is heavy volume (over 3 million) [and stock moves up smartly] I'll be a happy Johnny. Otherwise...

Doing most of the buying in the IRA so not concerned that much about price, though fast moves upwards are always good for the ego.

Still the entire LSI story is on the upswing these days. The funadamentals looking much better. (How quickly they changed!)

If we can get past 27 soon might be setting up for a nice 35-40% s/t ride I'd guess.

Saw a nice story about your DPMI recently. Can't seem to locate it since. But very interesting company!

Ah and you have VLSI - not too shabby - 2 weeks +20%. (But S&P recently downgraded because of uncertainty related to you know where ASIA/consumer/computer. Unlike LSI which has strong design win momentum. VLSI likely has that too. But for now ASIAN effect on communications probably the bigger story for them.)

TER's a great play. QWST someone mentioned as a great short! VTSS is in a league of its own. SUNW may actually be losing the battle for the web but winning it on the server side where it looks very good.

---

Missed the piece on short selling. But great point. To criterion of short interest would add strong [Relative Strength] stock - seems to be a potent combination for a short squeeze in a bullish market.

Now if only we can get past all those exterior distractions - war etc.

---

Welcome back once again!!!

Saintly one: Wanted to elaborate a bit more about why I think Tuesday better be big (and I think it will (secret)) for LSI.

So far picture perfect breakout move. Lower upside move than I would have thought at first blush. And we hit it (27) again and rebounded back (not a picture perfect part!).

Figure that with Friday's light volume, that consolidating should now be a done deal. Would expect to make up for Friday's low (very looooowwwww) volume to be made up by heavy volume today.

This is a short week. Over the long weekend war did not break out. Asia did not collapse. Clinton story is quiet.

So expect (hope) buyers may be buoyant. Heck if even those stocks that should be doing nothing (semi-equips) are going up you would have to make a case for the semis. LSI being in an accelerating design-win phase etc etc should be a smart beneficiary of all the dollars.

So waiting with anticipation & bated breath this Tuesday. The little birdies think today should see a strong upside move today on heavy volume.

Don't disappoint the little birdies...
