Buckwheat,

Just look on page 46 of the February 24th issue of PC Magazine.
It shows the following results for 333 Mhz PII systems running
under Windows 95:

System...........................ZD Business Winstone 98
----------------------------------------------------------
Dell Dimension XPS D333..................22.2
Gateway G6-333...........................24.0
Micron Millenia XKU 333..................23.6
NEC Direction SPL333.....................24.7

The average is about 23.6.

Under Windows NT they report on page 52 the following:

System...........................ZD Business Winstone 98
----------------------------------------------------------
Compaq Deskpro 6000 Model 6333X..........34.6
Dell Optiplex GXe 333....................32.9
HP Vectra VL 7/333.......................35.0
Nec PowerMate Enterprise 8000............32.7

With an average of 33.8

I believe the article Anand posted projected that the K6-3D 300
should give a score of about 27, but I can't remember if that was
under Windows 95 or NT. Let's hope it's Windows 95 (but I think
it was NT).

Pravin.

Howdy $1-weath. The AMD chips have better performance for the buck ONly problem is AMD can't seem to make a buck selling them. Sorry to say AMD must solve it's volume related problems.
