Promised myself I'd turn my back on this stock for a while, but broke down and called Barry this morning because I wanted to know the status of the financials.

A package was received from the auditors last night after Barry had left and the lawyer currently has it. He thinks it's the 10K, and will be able to confirm it for me later. If it is, it'll be published in the next day or two.

I talked with him at length about the length of time it's taken for this form to get completed and the issues they had with the auditors over handling of some of the figures.

In my experience, as I've said before, the auditors have always been right, and they've been right the first time, and are not likely to be swayed by company wishes.

It turns out this is an exception to that, though, and he told me that in similar situations I'm going to see that exception more frequently.

Apparently what was holding up the works was a combination of the 10K being for such a long time ago and the bankruptcy court proceedings. The auditors did revise their numbers in the way the company insisted, and did so because the original set was skewed because of a misunderstanding of the BR proceedings. Any one accounting firm is likely to have limited exposure to such a combination and misunderstandings can happen.

I'll be calling Barry later this morning or this afternoon to verify that it is indeed the 10K that was received yesterday and to ask when it'll be out. And, if it's the 10K, of course, my next question will be when to expect the 10Q's. :)
