Bill, just for you. The news is about five days old, but there is a detail that I thought I'd share with you:

Pro-Palestinian protesters storm U.S. military ship at Port of Oakland (San Francisco Chronicle)

This particular article doesn't mention it, but elsewhere I read that none of the protesters got arrested.

Ryan McBeth on YouTube brought up a few interesting points about the protesters risking federal charges:

Protesters Storm the MV Cape Orlando - What happened? (Ryan McBeth - YouTube)

And yes, I know the difference between peacefully protesting and staging an insurrection.

But it can be argued in a federal court that these protesters weren't simply getting their message out.

Instead, they were actively disrupting military operations.

They were quite possibly aiding and abetting terrorism by blocking efforts to fight it.

And according to McBeth, the protesters could be charged under the 2005 Anti-Terrorism and Port Security Act:

Maritime Transportation Security Act (US DoJ)

So ... are we going to see these protesters arrested and tried in federal court?

Will they be sent to federal "pound you in the ass" penitentiary?

Will Congress hold hearings on prime-time TV and grand stand about a lItErAl kNiFe that was lItErAlLy held to the lItErAl throat of lItErAl democracy?

Or will these protesters (who McBeth argues may have also been the victim of foreign disinformation) get away with their antics, because you know, they're more than just "93% peaceful"?
